Intentional Living

Winter is starting to fade and Spring is just in sight. This time of year brings a shift in my family -- a more open calendar and longer days which gives me time to focus on "intentional living." As the tulips start popping up and little flower buds on the trees start to blossom, I have a similar sensation prompting me to "bloom." My journey has crossed paths with some incredible people along the way -- who are faced with unique circumstances, but choose to live their lives with purpose and intentionality. This time of year makes me pause and reevaluate with fresh clarity and perspective exactly what my purpose is -- and how I stay true to that. I always go back to the basics. The simple things. Rather than adding more to my plate, I focus my attention on areas of my life that are worth giving it "all I got." This looks different for everyone -- what fulfills you most? What makes you strong? What brings you joy? Focusing on this will lead toward a life that is "well-loved." It's often the small, consistent actions that will make the most impact as you pursue intentional living.

One of the things I am most passionate about is -- simple living. I was kind of {hurled} into this when Adam's health took a scary turn, but being on this side of the fence is a huge blessing. I'm SO thankful for it in so many ways -- my perspective has changed, my heart is grateful and my passion and purpose came into clear focus. Just like having a wide-open-calendar, living simply let's you start fresh. It's like a blank wall -- you get to determine what it will look like! Health-wise, taking even small steps to reduce your toxic load has profound effects on your body. Start by committing to having no chemicals in the home. Replacing chemicals in your home is not only safer, way cheaper...but MORE effective. Have you seen the science experiments with petri dishes of bacteria growing after the person used Clorox or Lysol? And then, if you look at the effectiveness of Cinnamon against bacteria -- your mind will be blown! With spring on the horizon, consider taking some simple and intentional steps with you and your family's health -- you will feel so empowered and at peace knowing that you are using methods found in nature that not only are WAY better for you, but FAR more effective! If you need an ear or someone to ask questions to along the way....I'm here! My calendar is wide-open {not to mention I LOVE walking alongside of people on their journey}, but let's start there and see where it takes you! {Sweet} blessings to you,

Carey
